Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd was 14 when she began training in combat sports. She was a kickboxer, boxer and wrestling before she made her first amateur appearance at WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd was on a stunning three-fight winning streak in Ultimate Reno Combat. In all three, she finished her opponent within the first round. In WCFC Ladd was able to defeat Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous vote. Aspen defeated Silvia Babaeghian, and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo at WCFC 9. Cynthia was able to hand Aspen a unanimous defeat and outclassed her to tarnish Ladd's amateur career. Ladd defeated Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff to improve her amateur record from 8-1 to 8-1. Aspen was first introduced to the sport in 2015after signing with Invicta FC for her professional debut. Invicta eleven saw Aspen slay Ana Carolina Vidal to score TKO victory in the opening round. She won her next fight in the ring against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission and went up to bantamweight to fight at Invicta FC 16. Aspen utilized her superior wrestling skills to defeat McGill in third round TKO. Aspen next faced Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) as an "catchweight"(138.1lb) as Ladd did not make the weight. Aspen, however, defeated Hoy through TKO. Her final fight with Promotion, she beat Sijara Eubanks in a unanimous decision at Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC at UFC Fight Night 118, with a bout against Lina Langsberg. She outclassed Lina by pounding and grounding her to the ground, gaining the TKO in the second round. She maintained her dominance and picked up another victory over Tonya Avinger at UFC 229 with her next fight. Ladd beat Evinger in the very first round and received a bonus for the performance of the evening. Her first fight of note came during her subsequent fight at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in the Invicta FC rematch. The two fighters put on an intense battle that concluded with Ladd winning via unanimous decision and each fighter received an award known as the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie finished Ladd in just 16 seconds and ended her winning streak. Yana Knitskaya lost in the third at UFC 7.7 on ESPN. In a recent replacement match to UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. The fight was unanimously decided in her favor.
