Andrea Joy Cook (also known as A.J. Cook is well known Canadian actress. She is most famous for her role in the CBS police crime drama Criminal Minds where she portrays a supervisory special agent known by the name of Jennifer Jareau. It has been in production since 2005 and, as of 2017, the show is in its thirteenth season. Cook was born in Oshawa located in Canada's Ontario province, showed an early interest in acting. The beginning of her acting career came with the role of a TV guest on Goosebumps. Her debut film role was in the thriller The Virgin Suicides, released in 1999. However, the film was not much of a success. The actress began to appear as a leading actress in the Canadian-American drama Higher Ground the following year. Her first appearance on the crime-police drama Criminal Minds a few years in the future, which gained her recognition and success. Criminal Minds is widely considered to be the highlight of her career.
